Louise is a co-founder of Pair and has personally navigated the mental health care system. Drawing on her own experiences she is passionate about making it easier for people to find the right psychological support.

Pair was created to solve a common problem in Australia’s mental health system: Finding the right psychologist can feel overwhelming and confusing. I experienced this firsthand when I started my own mental health journey. I didn’t know where to search or how to find the right psychologist for me.

 Our goal at Pair is simple: to make finding a psychologist easier, more human, and more meaningful.

Pair is designed to help people connect with psychologists whose experience, style, and expertise really match their needs. The focus is on the right fit.

What makes Pair different?

Many other directories leave you scrolling through long lists, unsure if a clinician is right for you. Pair makes this easier in two ways:

1. The Matching Questionnaire – A short set of questions helps us understand your preferences, and our psychologist-built algorithm then narrows down the options to clinicians who are likely to be the best fit for you.
2. The Directory – If you prefer to browse on your own, our platform includes intuitive filters so you can search by specialty, therapy type, availability, and more personal considerations like gender, language, faith, or LGBTQIA+ experience.

This dual approach means you can feel empowered with choice, when finding a psychologist who not only meets your clinical needs but also feels safe, comfortable, and right for you.
